North Yorkshire Open Studios first weekend went well with lots of lovely visitors.The weekend kicked off with neighbours and friends enjoying a preview evening with fizz and pizzas,a great start.
Saturday brought blue skys and everyone enjoyed a potter around oiur garden finding ceramics. There is something special about chatting to like-minded people who are interested in art or are artists themselves. I very much enjoyed sharing my studio with Nettle Cottage Prints, Becky and Sarah who brought more energy to the weekend and the conversation flowed between visitors and ourselves dicussing ceramics and their wonderful lino prints. I decided to offer a little taster to get people to touch clay and do some mark making into porcelain with the thought I could make an installtion for the garden at a later date.
